Wireless-Detective Extreme Systems (Distributed Systems)

Decision Group is proud to announce the official launch of new Wireless-Detective Extreme System (WDXS) in January 2009. Wireless-Detective Extreme System (WDXS) completes with one Wireless-Detective Central Management (WDCM ?Master) system and more than one unit of Wireless-Detective Standard System (WDSS ?Slave).

Operation and Functionality

The major upgrade functions for this Wireless-Detective Extreme System are:

1.    Distributed or multiple systems Wireless capturing solution.

2.    Distributed or multiple system Wireless forbidding (jamming) solution.

3.    Wireless devices location estimation.

Distributed or Multiple Systems Wireless Capturing Solution

This distributed capturing implementation utilizes more than one Wireless-Detective systems to perform simultaneous Wireless packets capturing. One system will be set as Wireless-Detective Central Management System (Master) and other systems will be set as Wireless-Detective Standard System (Slave). The Master system will communicate with the Slave systems through the Wireless link. When the Master system is set to start the capturing process, all Slave systems will follow suit. Therefore, once a target (Wireless Channel, an AP or a STA) has been identified and capture process is started by the Master systems, all Slave systems will also lock in the same target. During the capturing process, all systems including the Master system will simultaneously capture the Wireless packets from the same target. Slave systems will then send the raw data files captured to the Master system by using Wireless link between them.

Wireless Central Management System (Master) will then re-assemble all the Wireless packets captured, decode and reconstruct the raw data back to its original content format. The supported Internet protocols include Email (POP3, SMTP and IMAP), Web Mail (Yahoo Mail, Gmail, Hotmail etc.), IM or Chat (MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, AOL, QQ, IRC, Skype Voice Call Log, Google Talk TW), FTP, P2P Log, Telnet, Online Game and HTTP (Link, Content, Reconstruct, Upload/Download, Video Stream).  If the targeted Wireless network is WEP encrypted, each Wireless-Detective system is capable to decrypt the WEP key. Wireless-Detective system is capable to decode WPA-PSK TKIP Wireless network if the key is preset.

Besides the decoding and reconstruction feature, the WDCM system is equipped with enriched administrative and management functions, which includes Full Text Search, Conditional Search, IDS function, IP List, Data Export and Reconstructed Data Backup functions etc.

Note: Wireless-Detective system is also capable to perform single (standalone) system capturing.

Distributed or Multiple System Forbidding (Jamming) Solution

This distributed forbidding implementation utilizes more than one Wireless-Detective systems to perform simultaneous Wireless forbidding or jamming function. One system will be set as Wireless-Detective Central Management System (Master) and other systems will be set as Wireless-Detective Standard System (Slave). The Master system will communicate with the Slave systems through the Wireless link. When the Master system is set to start the forbidding/jamming task, all Slave systems will follow suit. Therefore, once a target (Wireless Channel, an AP or a STA) has been identified and selected to be included in the jammer list by the Master system, all Slave systems will also lock in the same target.

Note: Wireless-Detective system is also capable to perform single (standalone) system forbidding or jamming function.

Wireless Device/Equipment Location Estimation (Locator)

The Wireless device/equipment location estimation implementation utilizes one Wireless-Detective Centre Management (Master) and at least three Wireless-Detective Standard Systems (Slave as Wireless Sensors) or three WatchGuard.WLAN (Slave as Wireless Sensors) for operation. By using Wireless signal strength triangulation training process and calculation method, the Master system is capable to approximate the location of the targeted Wireless devices or equipments.

Target Market

The Wireless-Detective Extreme Systems (WDXS) is specially designed for the Police, Military, Intelligence Agencies, High Tech Criminal Investigation Agencies, Forensics Investigation Agencies, National Security Agencies, Counter Terrorism Agencies etc. to track down high tech criminal or even terrorist who have make used of Wi-Fi as source of communication and information.
